Alternative Dispute Resolution or ADR refers to an assortment of dispute resolution procedures that primarily serve as alternatives to litigation and are generally conducted with the assistance of aneutral and independent third party. In common parlance, ADR is considered as a process that offer an alternative to litigation. Some of types of ADR, is based on the notion that any dispute should be solved together and emphasises on a participative collective effort of the disputants, assisted by the ADR Process to arrive at an adequate resolution of the dispute outside the conventional litigation process.
