About the author

Parul Gupta

Dr Gupta is an Associate Professor of Corporate and Labour Law at the Management Development Institute Gurgaon (MDI). For the last 18 years, she has been teaching law courses such as:

  • Employment Laws
  • Labour Laws for Managers
  • Legal Aspects of Business
  • Corporate Laws

Before joining MDI Gurgaon, she served at the Army Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida, for over a decade. Her expertise lies in Labour Law, Business law and Environmental Laws. She is a visiting faculty of various IIMs, IIFT, New Delhi and DMS-IIT, Delhi, delivering the Business and Corporate Laws and Employment Law course.

She has previously been the programme director and trainer of a management training programme for the judicial officers of the State of Uttar Pradesh and court managers. Wherein she imparted training to more than 1000 judicial officers within three years. In 2012, she was awarded the prestigious ‘GOC-in-C Commendation Card’ by the Western Command of the Indian Army for her significant contribution to the growth of the Institute and commitment to work. She is a seasoned trainer, imparting training to middle-level executives of various public sector units, like IOCL, BEL, NTPC etc.

Dr Gupta has authored three books and more than 15 teaching cases. Her research interest lies in legal, ethical and policy issues related to diverse business domains. She writes regularly in journals of repute and has published more than 25 research papers in international academic journals of repute, predominantly in ABDC, ‘A’ and ‘A*’ category journals.
